César Gutiérrez Miranda, born in Mexico, studied cinematography at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC-UNAM). He won best cinematography in the Kodak Filmschool Competition 2005 for his work on the short film QUIMERA. He was selected as one of seven participants at the Kodak Emerging Filmmaker Showcase 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival. He was also a participant in the Budapest Cinematography Masterclass in 2005 lead by Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC and John Schwartzman, ASC. He is a winner of a “Diosa de Plata” for the feature ESPIRAL. He lensed the feature films WORKERS which premiered at the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2013, Guadalajara IFF, L.A. Filmfest and many others. His most recent work LA TIRISIA, starring Gustavo Sánchez Parra, Noé Hernández, and Adriana Paz, and which he also co-produced, is in post-production right now.
